June 20, 2020 -- MEMBERS’ SHOW (& Koenigsberg Student Awardee announced)
In Rodica Tenenbaum's work, we are connected and reminded of each other through the textured world – the world of nature and the world of invention, the world of the tactile and the world of imagination. Through yarn in particular, and through stitching more generally, Tenenbaum re-assembles our history and geography with natural and synthetic materials, as well as with the written word, in order to look at old questions with fresh eyes toward the future.
The 6pm Pre-Meeting Program: Mounting and Display of Fiber Work.
Were you ever stumped on how to best display your piece? You are invited to share techniques (1 or more fine!) you use to mount, frame, position, suspend, or install your work. Share what you tried that didn't work, and what you figured out instead! Bring your examples or photographs.
If you have an idea or suggestion for an upcoming 6:00pm Pre-Meeting Program, contact Joan Diamond to discuss your presentation and available dates.
