Tradition Reactivated
As collective wisdom passed down through generations, tradition is never fixed. It continues to shift and evolve as new voices, materials and contexts enter. Tradition Reactivated brings together works by members of the Textile Study Group of New York, which show both deep roots in fiber art traditions and innovative approaches to form, material, and storytelling.
The artists demonstrate a strong understanding of various textile techniques and processes, without being confined by them. They push material boundaries, explore unexpected directions, and transform inherited traditions into a personal, living presence that responds to our time.
