Nilda Callañaupa Alvarez is the founder of the Center of Traditional Textiles of Cusco, and has spent her life's work helping to preserve the traditional weaving and natural dye techniques of the Quechua Villages in the Andean Mountains of Peru. She is well known globally for her expertise and has worked with several Museums.
